Baba was commissioned by the British Council’s More Films For Freedom program and was billed as the first LGBTQIA+ film set on Libya.
British-Libyan Adam Ali pulls triple duty here as co-writer, co-director and star. He earned an Independent Spirit Award nomination for Little America and won Best Actor at the Red Sea International Film Festival for Europa.
